Bypassing 1Dial for Selected Sites (Proxy Bypass)

If you wish to bypass 1Dial for certain web sites (web sites on your local corporate intranet, for instance), then simply select the "Features" tab on the "Settings" dialog and click on "Proxy Exclusion" (see below). You have two options for bypassing sites:

If you have already defined a proxy exclusion list in your web browser, select "Use browser's proxy exclusion settings" to configure 1Dial to exclude these sites as well.

You may also "Specify a web or IP address to bypass 1Dial" by selecting this option.  In the given text field, list all the web sites, separated by semicolons, that you wish to bypass 1Dial. 

To setup a Proxy Bypass in 1Dial, please follow the steps as lined out below.

1. 1. Right-click the 1Dial Web icon in your system tray (by the clock)

2. 2. Choose SETTINGS from the menu

3. 3. Select the FEATURES tab

4. 4. Click on the PROXY EXCLUSION button at bottom of window

5. Tick SPECIFY A PROXY EXCLUSION LIST

6. Insert the name of the domain or your website WITHOUT the www, e.g. *.countryilink.net*; or *.mybank.com*; (please include the asterisks and the semicolon at the end)

7. Click OK to close the Proxy Exclusion window and OK to close the Settings window.

8. Stop and then Start 1Dial Web Accelerator (Click Here, if you aren't sure how).

Now 1Dial will no longer try to accelerate the specified website(s).
