1Dial Web Accelerator is a quick and easy software download that significantly
increases the speed of any Internet connection, anywhere in the world.
Using a unique and patented compression technology, 1Dial Web Accelerator increases Dial-up speeds by up to 10 times faster than regular dial-up.
As you cannot physically change the speed of your Internet connection, 1Dial
Web Accelerator uses a technology called Content Sensitive Compression
('CSC') to individually compress each element of a web page or email using
various compression algorithms based on a patent approved proprietary
technology. The end result is that your web pages and emails (PC only) load
and download faster using your existing Internet connection.
When your web browser requests a web page, the 1Dial Web Accelerator software redirects that request to the 1Dial Web Accelerator compression servers. They take the respective web page content, compress it and send it back down to the 1Dial Web Accelerator software which decompresses it and sends it to the browser requesting the information. 1Dial Web Accelerator offers a unique, patented technology called “Advanced Imaging”, enabling you to receive fully viewable and instantly usable web pages, while maintaining the maximum quality of images. Advanced Imaging delivers all images on a page simultaneously. You continue to browse web pages while images are being progressively loaded. Please note: You need to be connected to the Internet when you install 1Dial Web Accelerator.
Once installed, you will not even notice 1Dial Web Accelerator is
there.
1Dial Web Accelerator runs in the background speeding up your Internet connection automatically. While information is being downloaded from or uploaded to the Internet you will notice the 1Dial Web Accelerator icon rotating in the system tray (located in the lower right-hand corner of the desk top). This indicates that 1Dial Web Accelerator is working and compressing the data. 1Dial Web Accelerator can also be easily turned on and off. 1Dial Web Accelerator speeds up your web browsing.
1Dial Web Accelerator does not increase the size of your Internet connection. It compresses the data received hence speeding up your web browsing experience. 1Dial Web Accelerator does not replace your existing Internet Service Provider (ISP) and is to be used in conjunction with your existing Internet connection. 1Dial Web Accelerator will not accelerate browsing over HTTPS (secure websites), file downloads or uploads such as QuickTime files, MP3, AVI, MPEG, exes or streaming media content (over FTP or file sharing programs). 1Dial Web Accelerator will accelerate both compressed and uncompressed JPEG, PNG and GIF files.

1Dial Web Accelerator does not currently speed up email for Mac and PC users. We hope to add this soon in a future version.
Your 1Dial Web Accelerator subscription is sold on a per computer
basis. For each computer you would like to use 1Dial Web
Accelerator on, you will need an additional 1Dial Web Accelerator
subscription.
1Dial Web Accelerator does not include any spyware.
Spyware covers a broad category of malicious software designed
to intercept or take partial control of your computer's
operation without your informed consent.
It is 1Dial Web Accelerator’s policy to never include spyware in any 1Dial Web Accelerator product, or any 1Dial Web Accelerator update.
Once an 1Dial Web Accelerator update is available, you will be
able to download it by:
1Dial Web Accelerator does not replace your existing Internet
Service Provider (ISP). It simply sits on top of your existing
Internet connection to accelerate web browsing and
sending/receiving of emails. You will still continue to pay
for your underlying Internet connections charges to your ISP.
